On Thursday May 1st the institute welcomed Dr Anatoly Levshin of Harvard University for two events discussing his research on artificial intelligence and geopolitics.
Levshin set out how AI is likely to catalyse systemic transformations, singling out oracular foresight and virtuosic creativity as the features states will reach for in advancing their interests.
He also examined the prospect of abductive AI shaping the future battlefield, at the level of command as well as at the operational level.
