TPI leads global dialogue on cyber and tech policy in Silicon Valley

Denmark and Australia recently co-hosted the Cyber and Tech Retreat at the World Economic Forum in Silicon Valley, bringing together senior diplomats from more than 25 countries for one of the world's premier forums on international tech diplomacy.

Since its inception the retreat has become a cornerstone of global dialogue on cyber and technology policy, uniting government, industry, and academic leaders to navigate the opportunities and risks of rapid technological change.

Dr. James Patton Rogers, Executive Director of the institute, delivered the keynote address, Full Spectrum Autonomy: Drones in All Domains. His remarks explored the rise of autonomous weapons and the evolving nature of warfare across air, land, and sea, with attention to the policy challenges, security risks, and ethical questions that accompany advances in military robotics and AI.

Across the event Dr. Rogers joined a series of high-level discussions with diplomats, industry leaders, and policymakers on the future of technology governance and security. Conversations of this kind continue to shape the institute's work bridging research, innovation, and policy at the intersection of technology and international affairs.
