TPI 2025 Open House: a showcase of research and innovation

The institute opened its doors for the 2025 Open House, inviting students, faculty, and visitors to experience the research shaping the future of technology and policy.

The event transformed the institute's research spaces into interactive hubs of discovery, featuring live demonstrations of the Cyber Test Range, presentations of next-generation drone and robotics systems, and discussions with leadership and fellows about ongoing projects across AI governance, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies.

Held alongside Cornell's Parents Weekend, the Open House brought together a diverse audience of parents, prospective fellows, and partners from academia, government, and industry. Visitors explored an interdisciplinary research ecosystem that bridges technical innovation with real-world policy application, ranging from semiconductor supply chain resilience to the geopolitical implications of artificial intelligence.

Executive Director James Patton Rogers described the event as a celebration of what makes the institute distinctive, its ability to connect rigorous research with real policy impact.
